Questions
Q: Please describe your motivation to become an Estonian e-resident:
Here are three points:
- I’m intensely interested in Estonian culture and history. An e-resident is a bridge towards a modern, blooming Estonia.
- E-resident is a modern way of social management, and I am strongly motivated to experience this new lifestyle.
- With an Estonian e-resident, I will be able to start my own company in Estonia in the future.
Q: Please describe how you will support Estonian economy, science, education and culture as an e-resident
Currently, I do not have my business plan. But as an engineer, I believe there are many things I can do to support. First of all, it is necessary and beneficial to learn Estonian. Things are very different when using a local language than via translation.
Also, based on my learning, I will try to translate some modern open-source software into Estonian. I think it is a supportive way for local learners or developers to connect with new technology and the community. Moreover, bringing my new work to Estonia may do some little help to the local life.
Secondarily, according to the actions above, they may require help from the locals. For example, learning a new language need help from teachers, bring my new work to Estonia requires participation from local people. This will bring income to the locals, with will do some help to the local economy.
Thirdly, I believe culture is always flowing. As a foreigner, it is my duty to connect my local life with Estonian culture. With an e-resident, my daily life and my orientation are connected to Estonia; the culture will flow with my daily life, my social circle, and my potential new business.
Q: Please describe to us what it is that interests you about Estonia and e-Residency
As is mentioned in my “motivations”, bringing local social works online is a great new way of social management, and I want to have a try. Also, everything can be done online is an effortless and efficient way. Moreover, starting a business in Estonia looks very easy, according to this site.
